From the Sarge Surely we are all ready to get back to racing and out of the house. Do your honey dos and get ready for some great racing. The schedule reflects your favorite track choices and a new one everyone is going to like. Curtis Harper of the Missouri Vintage Club is looking forward to our next challenge race. We may have it in North Texas! Our last race was at the new track the North Forty. All who raced it will surely come back and by the time you get this letter you may have heard what a great vintage facility it is. Let me say that David Henry and his wife Beverly are truly great people and our club will benefit greatly from this relationship. David is proud to have us there and trust me when I say once you have been there you'll want to go back. Beverly can show you where to catch trout and crappie and who knows what else. I would like to thank Granny McBride and Mike for keeping score. No one could argue with your granny, right! Joe Busby just about or really he did blow everyone but himself. Cris Barton made his return and had some real paint swapping with Ron Munson. Ron you and Chris (Richardson) need to bring more Houstonians next time. Randy Brown and Russ Kinsey had a really good battle of the four strokes with Russ doing a little rubbing on Randy's new 520 SX. Russ said he that knew if he rubbed him I could get by. He was tired of eating all the fresh topsoil. Chris Richardson gets the Purple Heart award for the day. His CZ foot peg bolt broke when he landed and would break his ankle. Chris drove himself to the hospital in Sherman and said it was a good hospital with fine nurses! They discovered a hairline fracture in his leg, but no broken ankle. Ron King and his Maico's were piloted by the young and much improved Travis. Travis is really looking good and gave a lot of old farts more than they wanted. Good job Travis. Jerry Nelson made his return on his very vintage 400 Maico, first of the square barrels I believe along with his cool TT Yamaha 500. Some may find this hard to believe but Ken Walden finally came out of the closet and was riding a really fast 430 Husky. Could the Maico 490 dominance be ending? Only time will tell. Again I would like to thank the Henry clan for all of us. Everyone should make this next event. You'll fall in love with this park Turn on the gas Race to win B. Lucas Hallet National Report Phlash!
